Also, I've been working on a new project that I'm really excited to share with you all called the Stream Vault!
As many of you know, Facebook Gaming™ removes live streams after 180 days.
- Gaming Video Creators not in our official Level Up or Partner programs: Videos will expire after 30 days
- Level Up creators: Videos will expire after 90 days
- Partner creators: Videos will expire after 180 days
While being able to archive the live video is great, there's a whole other side of the live stream that's just as important - the community and engagement from the chat.
So, with some clever scripting, I was able to not only download a few live streams, but I was also able to extract the live chat too! And from that, I was able to create my own stream player that includes the chat as well.
I think it's a really cool way to preserve the memories and interactions that happened during a live stream, and I hope you all will enjoy using it as much as I did creating it!
